Cranky customers

   Posted by: Kim    in work

Many of you in here may not be aware but up until a year and a half ago I worked at a very busy family restaurant as an assistant manager.  Then I had to leave my place of employment due to babysitter issues.  Well about two weeks ago I decided to go back to work as a supervisor.

The past couple of weeks haven’t been too bad but just this past Saturday I had to deal with my first cranky and unreasonable customer.  Apparently before I even started my shift we had a customer who was standing out in the take out for five minutes before anyone went down to see what he wanted.  And instead of blaming the girl who was on the take out, he blamed me.  He stated that I should have more control over my staff and this was a very poor way of treating customers.  I tried to explain to him that I just came on shift so I really didn’t understand why he was blaming me.

I really have to tell you all that of all the complaints I have had to deal with, this one really took the cake.  So I apologized to him and told him I would talk to the staff.  In my head I was kind of wondering how on earth he expects me to “control” my staff when I’m not even working??

Book review

Posted by: Kim    in book reviews

Oops I messed up!  I had every intention of posting the book review for the Sandra Brown book Play Dirty that I received in the mail.  Well I forgot that I was going to do the review here and actually posted it on Life With Kim.  But at least I did it. lol

So if you’ve been waiting anxiously to here all about this book, then why not pop over to my other site where the actual book review was done.  I promise in the future to try to keep my sites straight and do the posts on the sites that I’m suppose to.

Until then, just pop on over to the site.  I hope you enjoy the review.

Blogging addicts

   Posted by: Kim    in blogging

So by the replies from my last post, I’m guessing it’s official.  We are all blogging addicts.  Now is that a good thing or a bad thing? LOL  Well in my little corner of the world I think it’s a good thing.  But having said that, I have decided that I really need to make some changes in life.  I need to get a life outside of my computer.

Here is a typical day in the Kim household.  First of all while the coffee is perking, I’m on the Internet checking my e-mails.  When the coffee is done perking I’m sitting here dropping loads and loads of   Entrecards.  When that’s finished I am then posting on my many blogs.  Some days I am on the computer for over eight hours and lately this has made me feel like the computer is taking over my life.

If I don’t do all these things during the run of a day, I feel guilty.  So I need to make some changes.  Not quite sure what changes yet, but they really do have to come.  But until I figure out where I want to go in my Internet life, I guess being a “blogging addict” will have to do.

You know your addicted to blogging when….

   Posted by: Kim    in blogging

Seriously folks.  I would have never guessed that I was one of those guys that is addicted to blogging.  Yes, I run several blogs of my own and post on all of them on a constant basis, but I never really considered myself addicted until this past week.  What changed??  Well I’m going to tell you.

For the past couple of weeks one of the companies that I work for has decided to do some blog audits to try to clean up their system.  Now I’m all for that.  Seriously I am.  If your blog does not fit their standards any longer.  Then they are weeding you out.

The only problem with this is….it’s taking so long.  So far only one of my blogs have been audited and yes it’s out (I wasn’t surprised or upset) but the other’s haven’t even been looked at.  Well all this waiting and waiting has been driving me crazy.  So crazy that for the past four nights, I have been dreaming about blogging!  I wish they would hurry up and get this over with so I could go back to dreaming a normal dream again.

So that’s how you know your addicted to blogging.  When you constantly dream about it.

Another book review on the way

Posted by: Kim    in book reviews

Yesterday in the mail I received another free book to read and review.  This particular book is by one of my favorite authors.  The author is Sandra Brown.  I have been reading her books for years so it was such a great kick to me that I would be able to receive one of her works of art for free.

Because this is such a big book it will take me a little while to read it.  But don’t worry guys!  When the book if finished, I’ll be back in to tell you all about it.  Well I got to go start reading.

I won!!

   Posted by: Kim    in life

Do you all remember my post earlier about the contest that Tammy was having? Well the prize was a basketful of food from Loblaw’s. And guess what I won!! Thanks so much Tammy for having the contest and letting me win. I shop at the SuperStore all the time (which is a division of Loblaws). And love the products there. So I will be eating well for a little while thanks to Tammy and Loblaws.

You really need to visit her site on a daily basis, as she has made a commitment to have another give-a-way in the near future.

Book Review—Line of Scrimmage

Posted by: Kim    in book reviews

For all you romance lovers out there, I just recently finished reading a book by the author Marie Force that I can almost guarantee that your going to want to get your hands on.

The book Line of Scrimmage is all about a hottie football star Ryan Sanderson and his soon to be ex-wife Susannah and of the great lengths he will go to win her back. After 11 years of marriage the Sanderson’s have decided to call it quits, but the judge refuses to grant their divorce. He gives them six months to try to work out their differences. With only 10 days left before the divorce is final Ryan decides to try to win back his one and only true love with any means possible. The fact that she is engaged to someone else doesn’t deter him one bit.

Through out the story you will read about the different ways that Ryan tries to show Susannah how he has changed. You will also be horrified at the great lengths her fiance will go to see this not happen. There are many twists and turns in this book with a lot of surprises as well.

This book was seriously difficult to put down and I’m sure that if you purchase your own copy from Source Books you will find it was an interesting book and extremely suspenseful.
