About three months ago my father in law put his home up for sale.  But before he actually sold the home he bought a two bedroom mini home.  He did have six months of grace before he would have to pay a mortgage on the new home.  But if he didn’t sell his old home he could have ended up paying two mortgages.  Living on a fixed income at his age, this wouldn’t be a good thing.  But he stopped by this morning and informed my husband and I that he has now sold his old home.  So in a couple of months he will only own the one home and he won’t have to worry about finding the money to pay for two homes. Yay!
