My daughter is seriously into horses and the entire cowboy lifestyle. So I have decided to purchase her something different this year for Christmas. I have found a site that sells cowboy hats, cowboy boots and cowboy accessories. I would love to get her a pair of boots and a hat from this site. Her interest is so great in this area that I’m sure she would go really crazy over these boots and hats. They carry all the popular brands and if I place my order soon, I will be able to give my daughter the gifts that I know she would really enjoy come Christmas morning.

Well I just got back from spending two hours at the ice rink with my daughter’s class and I have got to tell you all that I’m freezing!  The tempretaure outside isn’t that bad today, but the tempretaure in the rink was unreal.  I was wearing a turtleneck, a sweatshirt, a sweater and a coat and I was still freezing.  I guess it didn’t help that all I was doing was standing around and not moving much.

But thankfully that part of my day has ended and I’m back in my nice warm house once again.  I just don’t know if I’m ever going to warm up again!  I have to go out in a little while and pick up the kids from the bus stop and I’m really not looking forward to that.  Maybe when we all get home for the night I’ll go jump in the tub.  Hopefully that will warm me up a bit.

So I am really happy to report that the family has survived all their sickness troubles and we are now on the road to recovery.  I don’t think I have ever seen an entire family as sick as my family has been and I really hope that we never have to experience this again.  My two kids are back in school, my husband is back to work and I have gotten back into my routine as well.  So we are all happy and healthy little critters once again.

If any of you guys have been hit with this terrible sickness as we all were, then my thoughts are definitely with you.  I would never ever wish these types of illnesses on even my worst enemy.

I really need to tell you all about a pretty funny conversation that I had with my 10 year old daughter on Monday.  Sunday and Monday she was really sick, so I kept her home from school.  Well I started to feel sick on Monday myself, so I went back to lay down in my bed after I got my son off to school.

Well at 9:00 in the morning my daughter comes into my room and wakes me up.  She then asks me if I shouldn’t get on the computer and do my work.  Well I thought this was so funny.  So I explained to her that I could do my work on the computer whenever I wanted to so I didn’t have to get up right away.

Well I guess you know your addicted to the Internet and your computer when your children think you should be on the computer even when your sick.

I have been spending my last few days deleting spam after spam after spam.  This blog and one of my other ones Life With Kim seems to be hit the hardest.  I have gotten a lot of spam before, but nothing like I have been getting these past few days.  On my other blog I had to delete well over 100 comments just this morning and I almost deleted a real comment while I was deleting.

So…this has got to stop.  So later on I am going to install the comment closed plug in on all my blogs and hopefully this will solve this problem.  I don’t have all hours in the day just to sit here and delete spam, so hopefully by installing this plug in, this will solve my problem.  If it doesn’t, I really don’t know what to do next?!

Military Graphic Comments

Today is a very special holiday here in Canada. Here in Canada it is our national holiday, Remembrance day. So it is a day to sit back and remember all those fine folks who have served our country in the military as well as keeping in mind the individuals who are currently serving our country. Without these guys and gals, we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms that we have become used to.

So, take a moment or two during this national holiday and give thanks to all those men and women who put their lives on the line for our each and every day. And don’t forget to remember those who served us so proudly in past years as well.

This post is for all you housewives out there.  Do you feel like you do the same exact thing day after day but still feel like you haven’t accomplished a thing??  Well that’s the way I have been feeling lately.  It seems like everyday I do the same old thing.  Then I wake up the next morning and seem to need to do the same old thing once again.

Honestly, I only have four people living in my house.  And I’m the only one here through the week but my house seems to get wrecked each and every night.  And… forget about getting any help.  That’s what moms are for now isn’t it?  They don’t quite understand that I’m not the only one who lives here or makes the mess, but I certainly am the only one who cleans it.  And they also don’t seem to get why I get so mad some of the time.  I guess if I stopped doing all this work, they might get it then.  But…probably not.

OK.  Rant over.  Now on with your scheduled programing.  I need to go do more dishes, more laundry, more cooking…

Right now in Canada we are in the middle of our deer hunting season. Although I’m not an avid hunter myself, my two brothers most certainly are. Just before the season starts they make sure that they have all their gear ready and then they get ready to spend a week out in the woods just with their gear, food and nature. Most years they do get a deer but some years they come home empty handed. But they normally have a great time and getting a deer is usually just a bonus to them.
