Well guys I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day with family and friends. Our Christmas was great! Christmas eve the kids and I made a gingerbread house and then we all watched a movie. First thing (five am to be exact) Christmas morning the kids were up and tearing into the presents. Then it was time for me to make Christmas dinner and I never burned a thing! Yay! On Boxing day we were invited to my father in law’s for supper and had another great meal. But, I would have to say the best part about Christmas was the fact that my husband ended up having five days off in a row without any phone calls to come into work. The only downfall would have been that my oldest son wasn’t able to be home for Christmas. But other than that we all had a great holiday.

My name is not Scrooge, but I have to tell you all that I will be so…happy when this jolly season has ended. I realize that Christmas is supposed to be the most magical time of the year, but I don’t get it. You scramble, scrimp and save for what?? One day! Oh I know it’s fun for the kids, but I don’t find it any fun at all. All the shopping, wrapping, cleaning and cooking is just getting on my nerves.

Now don’t get me wrong, I do love to see the look on my kid’s faces first thing on December 24, but I really have to wonder if all this extra work is worth it? Oh…don’t mind me, I’m just getting a little grumpy because I still have a lot of things left to do and only three days left to do it.

Well the  upgrade is done and my blog didn’t break.  How did I manage that you ask??  Well I will happily tell you.  I took a look at the process that it was going to take to do the upgrade and realized straight away that there was NO WAY I was ever going to be able to do this on my own.  So…I did what I always do and that was e-mail one of my blogging friends.  Thank god this girl is on the Internet and knows what she is doing.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve e-mailed her in a panic over the past couple of years and she has graciously helped me each and every time.

And who is this wonderful person you might ask.  Well it’s Lisa of course from http://mythoughtsideasandramblings.com. If it wasn’t for her, I would have had quite a few broken blogs. So…thanks again Lisa. And now I have all my blogs upgraded to the newest version with no broken blogs in site!

Well I have decided that it’s probably about time that I  upgrade this blog.  Currently I’m running an old version of wordpress so I think it’s time that I upgraded to the 2.7.  But unfortunately for me, I’m not really computer savey and I have a tendency to break things.  This is why I normally don’t mess around too much with any of my blogs.

But…  The time has come and I’m going to try to do the upgrade today.  But…don’t worry folks, if I do break it, I have a person ready and willing to help me.

Wish me luck and hopefully none of you will see a broken blog after this upgrade takes place.

For the past few days I have had a sore throat and have been coughing quite a bit.  I really haven’t had a good night’s sleep in about five days as I am waking up constantly coughing.  Well the coughing got so bad on Tuesday night that I finally broke down and made a doctor’s appointment.  I really must be feeling like crap as this is the first time that I’ve been to the doctor in almost four years.

Last night I went to my appointment and was told that I have a viral infection.  What this means is that there is nothing they can do for me.  I just have to let this thing run it’s course.  Well let’s just say that I wasn’t very impressed not to get anything for the coughing.  I have been coughing so hard that my ribs are bruised and sore.  So now when I have one little cough my ribs hurt so much that it’s bringing tears to my eyes.

I really hope this coughing ends soon as I honestly don’t know how much more torture my ribs can take.

Well it happened and I knew it was going to.  Lately on this blog I have been getting tons and tons of spam comments.  So I spend quite a bit of my time deleting these comments.  Well as I was on my deleting comments role, I ended up deleting real comments.  And for this I’m sorry.  As soon as I hit the delete button to the real comment I had no clue on how to get it back.  If I didn’t have to delete so many comments, then this wouldn’t have happened.

So..for all you comment spammers, get a life and stay away from my blog.  For all your other’s please do stop by with your comments and I promise I’ll try to be more careful in the future with my delete button.  And to the commentor which I deleted…sorry!  I didn’t mean to do that.

I am most pleased to announce that we are almost finished the renovations on our home. Although it has taken us a couple of years to get to this final stage, I am quite pleased with the results that I have seen so far. Now all that we have left to do is just minor things. We need to purchase some new kitchen lighting, bedroom lighting fixtures and outdoor lighting fixtures. Once these purchases are made, then our renovations will be complete.

Thankfully I have found a site on the Internet where I will be able to make all these purchases at an extremely affordable price. When I started looking at lighting fixtures, I wasn’t really interested in purchasing a chandelier but after taking a look at this site, I think I’m going to take the plunge. So, after these purchases are made and installed, my renovation project will finally be complete.

Well it seems to me that lately Entrecard is down more than it’s running.  Once again today while dropping my cards from my many blogs, the site jammed up and now won’t let me in to finish.  So I guess I’m done with Entrecard for the day without getting everything done that I wanted to.

Is anyone else here facing the same problem.  I’m really hoping it’s the site and not my own connection that is the problem.  Oh well, I guess now I have an excuse to get off the computer and go do the millions of other things that I really should be doing.
