First contract finished

   Posted by: Kim    in work

Well, if your a regular reader of this blog, then you already know that I have decided to try my hand at general transcription. Well, early last week I got my first contract and I have been working on it all week. So if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, well, now you know.

For those of you who are thinking about getting into general transcription, there really is only one thing I need to say about it. It is not as easy as it sounds! It took me an entire week to transcribe for one contract. But, I did enjoy the work, so I am still going to pursue this. So, if you don’t see me for a spell again, you know where I’m at. I’m back at transcription.

Searching for a new notebook

   Posted by: Kim    in general

My children’s computer has just about given up the ghost. Four years ago my husband bought it for me and then a couple of years ago bought me a new Notebook so the kids have been using it. So, I would have to say that this computer served it’s purpose well. But, we are now on the lookout for a new one. I have been searching in stores as well as online and have finally found one that I think I want to purchase. If I do in fact purchase this particular unit, then I plan on giving the kids the one that I currently use and keeping the new one for myself. Having a notebook is so much more better than a traditional PC. It’s so much more convenient and easier to take with me when I go on trips.

Warmer weather on the way

   Posted by: Kim    in life

Yesterday we were hit with a little bit of a snowstorm. We had very cold temperatures and when you factored in the wind chill, it was mighty cold outside. Well, today and tomorrow are supposed to be much better days. I wish spring would make up it’s mind. Either it’s here or it’s not. Today and tomorrow we are due for some pretty decent weather. The sun is expected to make an appearance and the temperatures are expected to be anywhere from plus five to plus ten. Now this kind of weather I can live with. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come and hopefully this time spring will in fact stick around.

The importance of marketing

   Posted by: Kim    in general

Having an effective marketing strategy is extremely important for any business. It doesn’t matter if you have a small business or a large one, or if you conduct your business online or offline. Not having an effective marketing campaign can actually hurt your business. Most business owners are aware of this fact and the Werbeartikel company is no exception. With the different types of products they offer, reaching out to the general public is one of their primary concerns. Having a good marketing campaign in practice has helped this site become of the best in their field.

I love weeks like this

   Posted by: Kim    in life

Normally every week I’m running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. But, after looking at my calendar for the week, I’m pretty happy with my lack of running around that needs to be done this week. Yesterday I needed to get some groceries and on Friday I need to get all my banking done. But, other than that my week is pretty much all open. This will give me time to get all the computer work done that I need to get done and get all the housework that has been so neglected over the past few weeks. Hopefully nothing surprising comes up and I can just sit back and enjoy the week.

Philadelphia Plastic Surgeon and Surgery

   Posted by: Kim    in health

In May I will be turning 41. So of course this little milestone in life has gotten me to thinking about getting older as well as the aging process. I really don’t think I look that bad for turning 41 and most people tell me that I really don’t look my age. But, I do realize that eventually I will start showing the signs of looking older.

With two small kids in my home, I really don’t want to look ancient and I have been doing a little research into what it might take to slow down the look of the aging process. One area that I have been looking into is possibly retaining the services of a Philadelphia Plastic Surgeon. I have found a website of a real Plastic Surgeon and have been doing a little reading. This doctor, Dr. Emily Pollard is known to be a leader in the Philadelphia Plastic Surgery industry. She offers services ranging from tummy tucks to spider vein therapy to facial rejuvenation. She caters to women and men and is well known for the success of her patients.

So, if your a lot like me and dreading the aging process then you may possibly want to check out her site for yourself. You just may be able to slow down the “looking old” process on your own body.

Getting closer to my goal

Posted by: Kim    in Internet, work

Well I spent an entire week looking for a foot pedal that I will need to start my home transcription career. I searched every store in our area and came up empty handed. I really have to wonder where the companies around here the employ transcriptionists buy their equipment. So, since I was unable to find one in an actual store, I have decided to purchase one online. This means that I will have to wait an extra week before I actually have it in my possession and will have to pay shipping charges, but I really do need it, so I guess I’ll have to go this route. After my foot pedal arrives, I will be then that much closer to my dream of working from home as a general transcriptionist. I just wish that it didn’t take so long to get the actual equipment in my home to do the job.

Health scare

Posted by: Kim    in family, health

Well, let me tell you all, that this morning was not a fun morning at all. My husband woke up and was getting ready for work, when he started having chest pains. Then he went into the washroom and started throwing up. Well, you can just about imagine what I thought was going on. So as soon as I got the kids onto the school bus, I drove him in town to the hospital. I never drive in town so me to do so you know that I was quite worried about my husband. Well thankfully it wasn’t what we thought it was, and these chest pains were brought on by stress. He more or less has to eliminate a lot of his stress, or this situation could get a lot worse. Thankfully he is feeling better now and the crises has ended for now. He just needs to take better care of himself. After all, he is only 42 and we would really like to see him stick around for a lot longer in life.

Searching for a vehicle

   Posted by: Kim    in life

Since spring is right around the corner, it is time once again for my husband and I to start search for another vehicle. We would love to be able to purchase a small truck or an SUV. There are many makes and models to choose from out there in the market place and this is why this particular job seems so difficult. We have been searching for a couple of years now and haven’t really gotten close to finding the type of vehicle we want to purchase at the right price. But things are looking up these days, and now I’m going to tell you why.

I recently stumbled across a site which sells the new Mercedes GLK, and let me tell, you all, I’m loving what I’m seeing. This company has just has just introduced a brand new vehicle and this vehicle is something that I definitely could see myself driving in. They released a press release to make this announcement. In short, the press release discusses their introduction of their new micro site where they are promoting their new 2010 GLK. Additionally, you will learn all about their latest vehicle (which just happens to be an SUV) from the price to all the options that are available. Their site is extremely easy to navigate and gives the consumer a full view of the vehicle and why you as a consumer would want to purchase it.

After browsing this site for a while, I have definitely decided that this vehicle is a contender in our purchase of a new vehicle. So, why not stop by this site, and you can be answering your own question of “Where do you see yourself?”. I bet, you will be just like I am, you CAN see yourself driving this vehicle.
