A week off of work

   Posted by: Kim    in work

Tonight is my final shift for a week. Normally I only work Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Next week I asked for Tuesday off as it’s my youngest son’s 9th birthday. So after my shift ends tonight, I will not have to go to work for an entire week! I am so…. looking forward to this break. Lately I have been quite dissatisfied with my job and I’m wondering if this week off may just give me the time to decide whether to leave or not. But I’m not sure quite yet. I’ll be sure to pop back in here and let you all know of my final decision.

Quiet weekend

   Posted by: Kim    in life

It was a pretty quiet weekend around here. The weather wasn’t really nice so we didn’t get to go camping. Then my husband got called into work, so that kind of squashed any other plans that we had. But the kids were able to get outside for a little bit so they were both happy. Although it was a quiet weekend, it was nice and relaxing so I guess there’s no complaints here.

Computer burn out

   Posted by: Kim    in work

Although I haven’t been in here and posted a lot over the past few days, I have been busy working on my computer. Lately I have been getting a lot of work doing general transcription and have just started inching my way into medical and legal transcription as well. Although I do love the work I’ve been doing, it is a lot of work and I am now starting to get a little burnt out. So I’m really hoping to be able to have all my work completed by 6 p.m. tonight so I can sit back and take a little break. So finger’s crossed that this plan works out well for me.

Annoying neighbors

Posted by: Kim    in home, kids

I really do need to go on a rant here! I am so tired of my neighbor’s kid, that I’m at my wit’s end. She is up here constantly, even when my daughter tells her that she is not going outside. When she doesn’t get her own way, she then gets her mother, father or babysitter to call me to ask if my daughter can come out. This is really starting to get on my nerves!! I really don’t know what to say to this kid and her family without starting world war six. Hopefully we sell our home right away so I can remove myself and my daughter from this situation. Otherwise, I honestly think I’m going to blow.

Coming home

Posted by: Kim    in family, kids

Yesterday I received an e-mail from my oldest son. He is coming home for a visit. Two years ago he moved out and moved quite far from home. So we haven’t seen him in two years. But he finally has the money and time to come home for a visit. And his brother and sister couldn’t be happier. They have already made a lot of plans for his visit and really just can’t wait to see him. His father and I are waiting anxiously as well. But I still don’t think that we are as excited as the two kids are. Hopefully his plans don’t change, or there will be two really, really disappointed kids! He is supposed to be home on August 2nd which will be just in time for his brother and sister’s birthday. They have both claimed this will be the best birthday present they could ever receive. So guys keep your fingers crossed that he gets to come home.

Busy

Posted by: Kim    in life, work

As you can see, I haven’t been around much lately. Well I’ve been busy with my transcription work. Hopefully things will calm down a bit a little later in the week and I will have time to come in and do a bigger post. So until then I hope you all have a great week and I’ll talk to you soon.

Brand new product

Posted by: Kim    in family, health, life

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I were watching TV and just happened to see a commercial that looked of interest to us. The commercial that we watched was advertising a brand new product from Dr. Oetker. This product is a baking product. With this product, you are able to make muffins, pancakes, or cupcakes! This is actually an excellent product for someone like me who isn’t able to cook.

All you need to do is to purchase the can of your choice, add milk and then shake the container. Really, it’s as easy as that. Honestly, even my nine year old son would be able to make these lovely treats. So last week when we were grocery shopping we bought one of Dr. Oetker’s pancake mixes. And yes, this product really is as easy to use as the commercial claimed it to be.

So, if you enjoy pancakes, muffins or cupcakes and would like to see for yourself how easy this product is to use, then I highly suggest that you go to your local grocery store and pick up a shaker or two. Plus, if you’d like to win free stuff, then you can enter every day for your chance to WIN a $1200 Visa Card for your next family fun weekend or 1 of 10 Dr. Oetker Shaker fun packs.
