The spam has got to stop!!

   Posted by: Kim

I have been spending my last few days deleting spam after spam after spam.  This blog and one of my other ones Life With Kim seems to be hit the hardest.  I have gotten a lot of spam before, but nothing like I have been getting these past few days.  On my other blog I had to delete well over 100 comments just this morning and I almost deleted a real comment while I was deleting.

So…this has got to stop.  So later on I am going to install the comment closed plug in on all my blogs and hopefully this will solve this problem.  I don’t have all hours in the day just to sit here and delete spam, so hopefully by installing this plug in, this will solve my problem.  If it doesn’t, I really don’t know what to do next?!

I’m finally the one helping!

   Posted by: Kim

After a couple of years of blogging, setting up blogs and  maintaining them, I can honestly say that I’m as comfortable in the blogging world as I can be.  I have managed to achieve all this with the help of a lot of blogging friends that I have met along the way.  Without their knowledge and patience there is no way that I would be where I am today with so many blogs on the go.

So when a friend of mine asked if I could give her a hand setting up her very first blog, of course I said no problem.  So yesterday we spent the day IM’ing back and forth and now she has a brand new blog to call her own.  I was so pleased that I was able to help her with this.  It was nice to be the one helping out instead of the one asking for help.

Blogging addicts

   Posted by: Kim

So by the replies from my last post, I’m guessing it’s official.  We are all blogging addicts.  Now is that a good thing or a bad thing? LOL  Well in my little corner of the world I think it’s a good thing.  But having said that, I have decided that I really need to make some changes in life.  I need to get a life outside of my computer.

Here is a typical day in the Kim household.  First of all while the coffee is perking, I’m on the Internet checking my e-mails.  When the coffee is done perking I’m sitting here dropping loads and loads of   Entrecards.  When that’s finished I am then posting on my many blogs.  Some days I am on the computer for over eight hours and lately this has made me feel like the computer is taking over my life.

If I don’t do all these things during the run of a day, I feel guilty.  So I need to make some changes.  Not quite sure what changes yet, but they really do have to come.  But until I figure out where I want to go in my Internet life, I guess being a “blogging addict” will have to do.

You know your addicted to blogging when….

   Posted by: Kim

Seriously folks.  I would have never guessed that I was one of those guys that is addicted to blogging.  Yes, I run several blogs of my own and post on all of them on a constant basis, but I never really considered myself addicted until this past week.  What changed??  Well I’m going to tell you.

For the past couple of weeks one of the companies that I work for has decided to do some blog audits to try to clean up their system.  Now I’m all for that.  Seriously I am.  If your blog does not fit their standards any longer.  Then they are weeding you out.

The only problem with this is….it’s taking so long.  So far only one of my blogs have been audited and yes it’s out (I wasn’t surprised or upset) but the other’s haven’t even been looked at.  Well all this waiting and waiting has been driving me crazy.  So crazy that for the past four nights, I have been dreaming about blogging!  I wish they would hurry up and get this over with so I could go back to dreaming a normal dream again.

So that’s how you know your addicted to blogging.  When you constantly dream about it.

Top droppers from Entrecard

   Posted by: Kim

I haven’t had this blog in Entrecard very long, but for the lenght of time that I have had it in, I am certainly amazed at the amount of traffic it has generated during this time.  So I would like to thank some very special people for helping me to  get this blog up and running.  These people would be the people from Entrecard who visit my site and drop their cards on a daily basis.  So if your on this list, then I would like to say a huge thank you for all your continued drops.  And if your not on the list but would like to be, all you need to do is drop your card!

A different type of paid to blog site

   Posted by: Kim

Last week I joined a site over at today.com.  This site will pay you to blog but it has a different type of twist.  You don’t need your own blog like all the other paid to blog sites.  They will set up a blog for you.  All you need to do is pick a topic that you would like to blog about and pick out a template.  They do all the work for you.  Then you do a 100 word post a day on it and they will pay you $1.00 a post.  They also pay you for all your unique visitors.  So although it doesn’t sound like a whole lot of money, honestly it’s a very simple job to do and if your anything like me, you will be happy earning even a little bit of cash.  So far I’m quite happy with the program.  Although I haven’t been paid yet, I’ll be sure to pop back in here and let you all know when I have been.

Entrecard thank you’s!

   Posted by: Kim

As you all know I just started this site last month. One of the ways in which I have chose to advertise is through the use of Entrecard. It has worked so well on my other blogs that I figured I would give it a go on this one. And I have not been disappointed. So this post is to thank all you regular droppers to this blog. I will try to do a post like this every month. So if your on this list, then thank you very much. And if your not on the list but would like to be…all you need to do is drop!

The big Google smack down

Posted by: Kim Tags: , ,

So did you all get hit or did your page rank go up this time around?  Well this blog is fairly new so I wasn’t expecting any page rank to occur here and none did. lol  But, I have a few other sites so I thought I would let you all know how they made out.

Most of my sites remained at a big zero.  That was not a real big surprise as on all those sites I do paid postings.  But what shocked me was one of my sites that has absolutely no paid postings on it what so ever went from a 2 down to a 1.

Oh well.  It has happened to me before and I’m sure it will happen again.  So how bad were you hit?  Or not hit?

Problem solved

   Posted by: Kim

If you read my previous post, then you would have discovered that I was extremely frustrated with my computer and trying to download the SezWho plugin. I was almost ready to give up on the entire thing, until I remembered a good blogging buddy of mine, Lisa is a wizard at Word Press. She has helped me out in the past so I thought I would ask her if she could give me a hand with this.

Not only did Lisa help me out, she actually got all the plugins on all my sites up and running. So I would like to send out a great big thank you to Lisa for all your wonderful help and wonderful patience. I honestly don’t know what I would do without you.
