It’s only Monday and it’s already turned out to be a long… week. My husband is home on holidays and seriously folks, I’m not kidding when I say he’s worse than my two younger children combined. This man cannot seem to amuse himself at all. So he is constantly picking at me just for something to do. I really hope the weather turns out nice today. Maybe then he will go outside and find something to do. Otherwise, it’ going to be a very long vacation for me. I’ll need a vacation after his vacation just to recuperate.
Well my youngest son was quite happy once again. Yesterday was race day in our house and my son and husband watched the Nascar race together. The reason why my son was so happy was because his favorite race car driver won. He was so happy about this, that he was hooping and hollering most of the night about it. He is already talking about next weeks race and can’t wait to sit down and watch this with his father. I would love to be able to take him to a real race one day. But living in Canada, I can’t see that happening any time soon. So I guess I will just have to watch his reaction when he watches these races on TV.
Our annual Santa Clause parade will be happening tomorrow night. And I have two young kids who are super excited about this. This parade is all they have been talking about for the past couple of weeks. They plan on making out their letters to Santa and handing it to the postal employees tomorrow night at the parade. And…. they both can’t wait to see Santa. Although I am 41, I am quite excited about this evening out as well. I love to watch the kids faces as they see the different floats going by and I’m sure this year will be no different. The weather man is calling for a nice evening tomorrow night. So as long as the weather holds out for this event, our entire family will be going out to get a glimpse of the big guy himself.
Yes guys I think it’s finally going to happen. Although the camping season started here on May 15th, so far this summer we have been unable to go. Either the weather was pretty crappy, my husband had to work or one of the kids was sick. But it looks good to go for this weekend. My husband does have to work tomorrow morning. But after he gets home we will head out to the camp site. Although we will only be able to go for one night, it will still be great to get away. Weatherman, please don’t let us down!
Yesterday I received an e-mail from my oldest son. He is coming home for a visit. Two years ago he moved out and moved quite far from home. So we haven’t seen him in two years. But he finally has the money and time to come home for a visit. And his brother and sister couldn’t be happier. They have already made a lot of plans for his visit and really just can’t wait to see him. His father and I are waiting anxiously as well. But I still don’t think that we are as excited as the two kids are. Hopefully his plans don’t change, or there will be two really, really disappointed kids! He is supposed to be home on August 2nd which will be just in time for his brother and sister’s birthday. They have both claimed this will be the best birthday present they could ever receive. So guys keep your fingers crossed that he gets to come home.
A couple of weeks ago my husband and I were watching TV and just happened to see a commercial that looked of interest to us. Last week husband was home on vacation and I have to tell you all that he seriously messed up my routine. When he’s home, I can never seem to get anything done. He is always underfoot and doesn’t quite get it that even though he’s home, I still need to work. But he’s back to work today so I should be able to get more work done this week. Don’t get me wrong, I love my husband and love having him around, but I also love it when he goes back to work so I can get things accomplished.
