Well it looks like I have no choice. I have to go to the dentist. Now to most of you this probably wouldn’t be a huge deal, but I am absolutely terrified of dentists. I haven’t been to the dentist in over eight years (yeah, I know that’s bad, but really I am absolutely scared to death of them). But I have had a tooth ache for the past month and really have to go and get that looked after.
So I’ve been digging around the Internet trying to find a dentist that I may end up going to. I have been checking out places like San Diego dental crowns and other dental offices and have been extremely impressed with what I’ve read. So now all I have to do is make my decision of who to go to and make the appointment. I realize that my fears really are groundless, but I still can’t help feeling the way I do. But in the end, I think the tooth ache pain is going to win over my extreme fears.
So once again I’ve put in another long day. For the past couple of days I have been seriously fighting a sever headache. I’ve taken pills, but this doesn’t seem to work. The only relief that I have been getting is by going to bed. But at 3:30 in the afternoon, this is really not an option. I know what the problem is, is that I can’t find my glasses. I spend a lot of time online and I know I’m getting the headaches because I’m not wearing my glasses. So…. I’m off to search for them. Hopefully I find them soon and can get rid of this headache before too much longer.

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I were watching TV and just happened to see a commercial that looked of interest to us. The commercial that we watched was advertising a brand new product from Dr. Oetker. This product is a baking product. With this product, you are able to make muffins, pancakes, or cupcakes! This is actually an excellent product for someone like me who isn’t able to cook.
All you need to do is to purchase the can of your choice, add milk and then shake the container. Really, it’s as easy as that. Honestly, even my nine year old son would be able to make these lovely treats. So last week when we were grocery shopping we bought one of Dr. Oetker’s pancake mixes. And yes, this product really is as easy to use as the commercial claimed it to be.
So, if you enjoy pancakes, muffins or cupcakes and would like to see for yourself how easy this product is to use, then I highly suggest that you go to your local grocery store and pick up a shaker or two. Plus, if you’d like to win free stuff, then you can enter every day for your chance to WIN a $1200 Visa Card for your next family fun weekend or 1 of 10 Dr. Oetker Shaker fun packs.

In May I will be turning 41. So of course this little milestone in life has gotten me to thinking about getting older as well as the aging process. I really don’t think I look that bad for turning 41 and most people tell me that I really don’t look my age. But, I do realize that eventually I will start showing the signs of looking older.
With two small kids in my home, I really don’t want to look ancient and I have been doing a little research into what it might take to slow down the look of the aging process. One area that I have been looking into is possibly retaining the services of a Philadelphia Plastic Surgeon. I have found a website of a real Plastic Surgeon and have been doing a little reading. This doctor, Dr. Emily Pollard is known to be a leader in the Philadelphia Plastic Surgery industry. She offers services ranging from tummy tucks to spider vein therapy to facial rejuvenation. She caters to women and men and is well known for the success of her patients.
So, if your a lot like me and dreading the aging process then you may possibly want to check out her site for yourself. You just may be able to slow down the “looking old” process on your own body.
Well, let me tell you all, that this morning was not a fun morning at all. My husband woke up and was getting ready for work, when he started having chest pains. Then he went into the washroom and started throwing up. Well, you can just about imagine what I thought was going on. So as soon as I got the kids onto the school bus, I drove him in town to the hospital. I never drive in town so me to do so you know that I was quite worried about my husband. Well thankfully it wasn’t what we thought it was, and these chest pains were brought on by stress. He more or less has to eliminate a lot of his stress, or this situation could get a lot worse. Thankfully he is feeling better now and the crises has ended for now. He just needs to take better care of himself. After all, he is only 42 and we would really like to see him stick around for a lot longer in life.
Well I guess it was a good thing that we didn’t have any major plans this weekend. My daughter and my husband came down with the flue. My daughter had it the very worst and didn’t want to do anything except lay around. My daughter was sick the entire weekend, but my husband only had it yesterday. He seems to be better today and has gone into work. My daughter on the other hand is still quite sick. She’s better than she was yesterday, but is still not feeling 100%. I guess it’s a good thing that she is currently on March break. She doesn’t miss any school time due to this. Hopefully by tomorrow she will be feeling better. So in this case, I guess it was good that we had no plans.
Last month my kids were involved in a pedometer challenge in their school. My son’s grade 3 class one the challenge for his grade level and was treated to a sledding party. Well this past weekend it was time for the some of the parents of some of the students to take up the challenge. My son volunteered my husband and I to take part in this. As the parents who had the most steps during this challenge had a chance to win some Sea Dog hockey tickets. And my son really wanted those tickets.
Well today he took back the pedometer. We should know by the end of the day which family one. I don’t think it was us as my husband is not that active. LOL On Saturday I wore it to work and logged in over 10,000 steps. I was really busy that day. But on Sunday my husband wore it and only logged in about 1500. But it was a fun experience for my son. And who knows, maybe I walked enough for the entire family. My feet sure felt like I did by the time my shift was over on Saturday.
For the past few days I have had a sore throat and have been coughing quite a bit. I really haven’t had a good night’s sleep in about five days as I am waking up constantly coughing. Well the coughing got so bad on Tuesday night that I finally broke down and made a doctor’s appointment. I really must be feeling like crap as this is the first time that I’ve been to the doctor in almost four years.
Last night I went to my appointment and was told that I have a viral infection. What this means is that there is nothing they can do for me. I just have to let this thing run it’s course. Well let’s just say that I wasn’t very impressed not to get anything for the coughing. I have been coughing so hard that my ribs are bruised and sore. So now when I have one little cough my ribs hurt so much that it’s bringing tears to my eyes.
I really hope this coughing ends soon as I honestly don’t know how much more torture my ribs can take.
So I am really happy to report that the family has survived all their sickness troubles and we are now on the road to recovery. I don’t think I have ever seen an entire family as sick as my family has been and I really hope that we never have to experience this again. My two kids are back in school, my husband is back to work and I have gotten back into my routine as well. So we are all happy and healthy little critters once again.
If any of you guys have been hit with this terrible sickness as we all were, then my thoughts are definitely with you. I would never ever wish these types of illnesses on even my worst enemy.
I really need to tell you all about a pretty funny conversation that I had with my 10 year old daughter on Monday. Sunday and Monday she was really sick, so I kept her home from school. Well I started to feel sick on Monday myself, so I went back to lay down in my bed after I got my son off to school.
Well at 9:00 in the morning my daughter comes into my room and wakes me up. She then asks me if I shouldn’t get on the computer and do my work. Well I thought this was so funny. So I explained to her that I could do my work on the computer whenever I wanted to so I didn’t have to get up right away.
Well I guess you know your addicted to the Internet and your computer when your children think you should be on the computer even when your sick.
