So how was every one’s new year?? Mine was great. I did have to work new year’s eve, but we were so slow that I was able to leave early. So I was able to spend most of the evening at home with my husband and the kids. On New Year’s day I didn’t have to work so we had a special family supper together. But it’s now over and we are all starting to get back to our routines. Hopefully 2010 proves to be just as uneventful as the ringing in of the new year did. If this happens then I will have no complaints.

For the past couple of weeks I have been tormenting myself over Christmas. I hadn’t done any shopping up to this point so I was getting a little anxious. So today I took the plunge and headed out to the stores. I bought quite a few things so I am now feeling a whole lot better about this upcoming Christmas season. Now all I have to do is wrap, clean and bake and I will be feeling a whole lot better.

I know Halloween was a few days ago, but I’m only getting in her now to tell you all about my kids night. My daughter went as a vampire and my son went as the devil. They had a blast. They were out for a couple of hours and managed to drag home a pillow case full of candy each. The police were out patrolling that night and handing out candy and the kids got a huge kick out of that. We only had about 18 kids here at our house so we still have tons of candy left over as well. So now the fun begins. Eating all that candy.
