Well today is a bittersweet day for me.
Six years ago today my father passed away from lung cancer. He was only 62. I miss him every day but on the anniversary of his death I miss him even more. Well nine years ago today my husband and I were married. That’s right, my father died on our anniversary.
So this is why this day is so bittersweet. On one hand I’m sad because this day brings back bad memories of my father’s death. But I’m also happy because today is also the anniversary of my husband and I’s wedding.
Well my computer is still acting up, but not as bad as before so I keep chugging along. I do a lot of work from home on my computer and all of these computer troubles really are starting to get on my nerves. After a couple of months of consideration, I have decided that I’m really going to have to purchase a new one. But with so much money going out these days for school, birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, I really don’t have the extra cash right now. So for now I guess I’ll just have to keep doing what I’m doing and start saving my pennies.
Man… I can’t wait to come in here and post that I’ve got a new computer and all my computer troubles are over.
Well I’m finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My work schedule has slowed down considerably which is a good thing. I don’t want all these hours at my outside job and am quite pleased to see that these shifts seem to be winding down. Now I can concentrate more on my home life. So by the looks of things you should see me around a lot more often. Now that I’ve said that, keep your fingers crossed that I didn’t just jinx myself. lol
It’s been a long time since I’ve been in to visit. Life around here has been pretty crazy to say the least. I have had all but one of my family members sick, I have been working a lot outside of the home, I have been doing a massive amount of general transcription from home and I am now running back and forth to the doctor’s myself for some medical issues. I’m really hoping that life starts to slow down for a little bit but I honestly can’t see that happening. But I do promise to try to get in here a bit more than I have been over this past month.
So if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to, well now you know.
It’s days like today that make me proud that I’m a Canadian. After two weeks at the Olympics, Canada came out on top! We managed to get the most gold and also the most medals of the Olympics. I know, it sure sounds like I was there competing now doesn’t it?? Nope, I was just there in spirit. Now with the Olympics over, I really don’t know what I’m going to do with my time.
Oh well, I’m sure I’ll find something. So congrats to all my fellow Canadians for their outstanding efforts during the 2010 Olympics!
Holy smokes I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve been in here to post. Well let me tell you all what I’ve been up to. Last week the kids had a couple of days off due to snow days and my youngest son was home the rest of the week because he was sick. So… I really didn’t have a lot of extra time on my hands to do a lot of things. Then I was contacted by a previous company that I did transcription work for to do some transcription work for them, and that took care of the rest of the week. And of course I still had to work at my outside job.
But this week looks a little better for extra time for me. I do have quite a bit of running around today, and lots of housework, but nothing else lined up so far. So hopefully I’ll get to blog a little bit more this week.
I’m not lost, just busy I promise! Don’t you just hate it when real life gets in the way?
Seriously folks this has been such a busy week. So busy with other work that I haven’t gotten in here to post very often. And…. now it’s the weekend once again. Where does the time go? Between housework, real work and Internet work I feel like I haven’t had a break all week. And now I have to get ready to go back to work again tomorrow and Sunday. Hopefully all this work will pay off in the end. And soon I will be able to post that I have more free time to myself. I can’t see this happening any day soon, but eventually it will come.

This is just going to be a very quick post today. I have so…. much work to do today and not nearly enough time to get it all done. So I’m going to get my butt off this computer and get all my work done. So have a great day and I’ll talk to you all soon.
The first day of winter is supposed to be December 21st, but I honestly think winter has already arrived. Right now as I sit here typing this post it is minus five degrees celsius, but we also have very high winds which is actually making the temperature a lot colder. I just came in from outside and let me tell you all, it is bitterly cold. Oh I know that living in Eastern Canada we are going to get the snow, ice and cold. I just wish it would hold off a little while longer. At least until the supposed “first day of winter”. Okay, enough grumbling for one day. I think I’m going to go lay under my warm covers and just wait for Spring to arrive.
